Huckleberry Baskets
Huckleberries to the Indians were not only for dessert, they were an important food source. The women and children went together to the mountains in early fall to pick them, and they still do today. These baskets are family heirlooms handed down through generations from the Wenatchee Band in North Central Washington State. |
